Advisory Committees
TriMet’s advisory committees serve as essential bridges between our agency and the communities we serve. These committees provide guidance on key issues such as financial strategy, access, service needs and capital projects, ensuring that our decisions reflect the needs and priorities of our riders and community.
By fostering collaboration between TriMet and community members, transit advocates and riders, these committees help us shape policies that promote transit use, fairness and sustainability. Their input has led to initiatives such as expanding our Honored Citizen reduced fare to more people, improving our system for seniors and people with disabilities and adding safety measures.
These advisory groups strengthen our public transit service by making it more responsive to the people who rely on it daily. They ensure that TriMet remains accountable, transparent, and committed to serving the greater Portland area.
